How we handle it
Report
You report online, or call if it is urgent. We open the case and contact you within one working day.
Inspection
We visit, measure the moisture and trace the cause. Everything goes into the case file with photos.
Source repair
The cause is repaired so the damage cannot get worse.
Report and insurer
We produce the damage report, submit it and chase the approval.
Repair and handover
Drying, plastering, painting and finishing. Then a final check and handover.
What it costs
For an insured claim the repair runs through your insurer. You pay your excess and any part that falls outside the cover — and you know that before we start, not afterwards. Without insurance we work on an itemised quote.

Questions we are often asked
Who pays for water damage in an apartment?
Usually the building insurance of the owners' association for the structure, and your own contents insurance for your belongings. Where exactly the line falls is set out in the deed of division. We record in the report where the cause was, so both insurers can see which part is theirs.
Do I have to call my insurer first?
No. With your authorisation we register the claim, submit the report and answer the questions. If a reply does not arrive, we follow up.
How long does water damage repair take?
That depends on the extent and the drying time. A ceiling in one room is often finished within a few weeks; a saturated floor takes considerably longer to dry alone. You will hear a realistic timeframe at the inspection.
Can I do anything myself in the meantime?
Yes: turn off the mains if water is running, cut the power where water reaches electrics, take photos before you clear up, and move your belongings. Those photos are your evidence towards the insurer later.
